I got a couple of questions about the construction of this when I put up my Amazing Grace video. Here is another detail shot which shows the back of the head dowels and obviously the tuners. You can see that the tubes are joined with a piece of brass studding and stainless nuts and washers (except that the nut between the two tubes is brass).

Thanks for the comment on the sound. I can't be sure, but I doubt it makes much difference. The box sort of clamps round the tubes at one end and my left thumb rests between the two tubes at the back as I play so I think it is pretty well damped. There is no sound hole to let anything out and the pickups are in the bridges where they will mainly get vibrations from the strings and the box. Of course I could be quite wrong and I would have to build one with different necks (or fill them with expanding builders foam) to really know.

Thanks Penny.
I don't think I will change it just yet. Roadkill stays, for the moment at least.
All the best.

Hello Uncle John.
Thanks for the nice comment. I think Roadkill is more catchy than Mr. Detail though, so I won't change it quite yet if that is OK with you. Take care.
All the best.
