Oh . man ... i can relate all too well , The hardest part of being a pet owner :'-(
Just remember the good life you gave her, and she gave you , and ....i know they can never be replaced , but you can always enrich the life of another pet and share more memories . I highly recommend you give another one a good home and begin another friendship. so you both can help each other , as im sure you and Dottie did .
