Raw box was given a coat of light oak stain, then dark oak, then waxed.

    I highly recommend it Paul! I find diddlys quicker and cheaper to build, and a whole lotta fun!
    This sounds well, but I only had a 'G' string spare (the thinnest out of a bass pack) - Il most likely put something fatter on it when I get some more to give it a bit more 'beef'.
