Davidoff Resophonic

This is one of my favorites, mostly because it's something I've never done before. It's a little Davidoff box which i used because I wasn't sure how it would turn out. It has a tuna can resonator, but instead of having it upside down, i have it right side up with a very tall bridge. This was my first time doing f-holes too. Also, i screwed up the headstock when I first cut it, so I ended up thinning it and then laminating a piece of a broken box on it. I like the way it turned out, and it sounds good too.

  • Thanks.  I misplaced a saw cut and had to fix it somehow.

  • It's not hard to make a standard square headstock look good, but it is hard to make them look really good. This one looks Great!!

  • Very cool build! I've been looking at various simple can-reso designs, and this is the best one I've seen yet! Really really nice job!
  • Thanks. It's been at a gallery for the last 4 weeks while I've been out of town. I'm kind of hoping that it didn't sell. Of course, if it did, that just gives me an excuse to build another one.
  • Hey hey Matte , great looking build bro congrats on the featured build - keep on building and cycling mate
