Dark Star Brewing Co. Guitars

Phew, just finished the biggest single order I've had...15 guitars for one client. They'd already had 12 off me after seeing my guitars when me and Hollowbelly played at the brewery tap, and not long after that ordered a second run. It's great to develop a working relationship with a company that really understands what this is all about - two of the guitars are going to a young American singer songwriter Jarrod Dickenson, which is a nice hook-up...and we're already booked for their annual beer Festival later on the year. Back to the workshop to make some more guitars for me.

  • Jarrod Dickenson is playing FREE at the Blues Kitchen in Camden, London tonight (Thurs Nov 1).

Maybe he'll be packing one of Chickenbone John's CBGs?

  • They are indeed 'playable for the long haul'.

Got one of the Hophead ones off eBay well over a year ago, in low E tuning it's great for rockabilly/honky tonk with a slapback pedal.

Not changing the strings in case the mojo departs!

AND Hophead is one of the best beers around...

  • I think my biggest batch was 6 at a time ,, for xmas .,.,like your style and they certainly look like they are playable for the long haul.,.,

  • It's hardly mass production: I still feel like I spend far too much time on each one, and the tough part is trying to keep the consistency (and enthusiasm) across a whole batch like this...it's been a hard week for me and my daughter Anne Zilpha getting these off my bench and out of the door. Now I can get back to finishing some custom orders.

  • WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mass production. Like the model T factory. Beautiful guitars Chickenbone!

  • looking good..,

  • Paid in kind could reduce your workshop hours John

  • It goes without saying that they produce an excellent range of beers...and the company is named after a Grateful Dead song.
