Thanks for the info Eric, i'll keep that in mind next time next time. I kinda just used some scrap I had laying around. its 1/2 pine and 1/8in ply. Its real sturdy. I didnt get a pic of the finished product. I added some latches and rounded the interior pieces with a 1/4in round-over router bit. Its in AZ now, but Ill get finish pics soon.
Lonman, Go ahead and use whatever you need. Just send $29.95 to my paypal account. :) Im kiddin. But do let me know when you post pics of your build. I wanna see em.
Looks awesome, nicely done. But might I suggest using 1/2 in. Baltic Birch ply for the sides and interior stuff and 1/4 in. Baltic Birch ply for the top and back, it'll keep it alot lighter. You can find it at hardwood suppliers, they typically use it for drawers boxes.
that's awesome. I have built 2 cases thus far and am thinking of having this style rather than the ones i did before using foam supports inside then all is covered with cloth. Mind if I use your pic as a template?
