Here is the "cut-down" 5.5" diameter cookie tin resonator showing how the resonator fits around the middle support beam that will be used to mount the neck to the sound box. Notice there are two little "feet", one at each end of the support beam to keep this board from contacting the bottom of the box for (hopefully) better resonating characteristics (as part of the sound will be from the box as well as the tin resonator).

Looks like it's gonna be good. I also try to leave the bottom of boxes free to vibrate since I think it makes a big difference on acoustic instruments.
