I was never happy with the original neck on this git so I removed and replaced it, now I'm Happy Happy Happy :-) Fretless 24 3/4" Maple neck with Walnut fret dots on the neck top and fret face, I also added a volume pot with a brass 12 gauge Winchester shotgun shell volume knob. Justin Johnson signature and Stompin' Hogg/Maddog CBG tags on the back makes for a 3 man collab build of sorts ;-)

I live in Duenweg (Dun-ah-Wig) way down in the southwest corner of Missouri. I can be in Kansas, Arkansas or Oklahoma in less than an hour. Thanks for the info. Those knives are really nice !
Ken lives in Davisville or at least he used to. I got these knives before he went big time with Bass Pro. He also had a Cherryville address. Both Davisville and Cherryville are southwest of St. Louis. Ken was old when I got these knives so I imagine he is ancient by now. ;-)

BLC, the river flows at about 4-5 miles an hour so it never completely freezes. When I was kid it was cold all winter and it froze completely, used to see deer, coyotes and all sorts of wildlife crossing the river then. Even a few village idiots from, town would walk across, not this guy.

Rob, the knives were X-mas gifts from my daughter and son in law a few years back. They're made by an old gent named Ken Richardson from Missouri. He makes the blades, deer antler handles and does the scrimshaw work. His daughters make the leather sheathes, all in the family the way it should be :-)

I like the look of the maple too John, the pic doesn't show it very well but it has some cool grain to it.
