Corina Fretless

Sometimes they turn out looking, playing and sounding like I want them to. This one exceeded my hopes. The tail piece is a shoe horn from Rich Caudill. When first done, the neck, fretboard and head stock were 'natural' - just oiled. Did not seem quite right. Also, the first piezo sucked. I was a lazy ass and stuck it on the neck because it was convenient to do so.I replaced the piezo under the lid and painted everything but the box black. Then sanded most of the black off and re -oiled it.I like the Look and it plays and sounds great. I now have 2 of these Corina box builds and they are super good acoustic. That box was pretty a... faded and nondescript when I found it at a junk store for $5.00. I rubbed in two coats of Crisco oil and it came back to life.

  • Really like this look. Can we hear it too?

  • I wish you could sample playing it, Sean.

  • This has major mojo!  I could look at it for hours.

  • LOL, Dave,    It does, Richey.  Thanks, guys.
