Day off today; got the electrics wired up and in place, the sound-hole grommets installed, the tuning machines installed, and the nut positioned.First time I've tried a volume control; it appears to work well while tapping on the piezo.I'm presently glueing the piezo into the resonator; then I'll be able to install the top.I don't even try to make a bridge till I get the tailpiece and all in place; I usually run twine from the nut to the tailpiece so I can eyeball the approximate height f the bridge.

your buzz might have come thru the strings, did you ground the bridge plate? If you dont ground something that is in direct touch with strings you will get humm
Worked great! Smooth, progressive, and no extraneous noise. It's just a standard volume pot I bought at the Guitar Center. I followed the wiring instructions Ted Crocker sent me.
I hope you have better luck with a volume control. I was getting a bad buzzing through the amp with mine. I didn't think it did a whole lot anyway. I decided to remove it and just go directly to the jack. Not sure if I did something wrong (it was my first attept ever). I'm anxious so see how yours turns out.
