    I had another La Aroma box, but this was an older one. I discovered after cutting the sound hole that it was actually Spanish cedar inside the plywood soundboard. It sounds great like you mentioned, but it is not the first box I would have picked for the build. You just never know what you will get until you build it.

  • Great build!  I did a through neck tenor and would like to make another without a through neck.  I like the bracing you did.  Also the hole cutter was a great idea that I'll have to copy.  I built two CBG's using the La Aroma de Cuba boxes and really like the acoustic sound.  It would probably be better using the bottom which is thinner and not mdf.  I have three more of the same box so I guess I'll find out.
