  • Thanks Maddog. Time enough to choose Uncle. More are on the way. This batch shrunk more than the last batch by quite a bit. Some became Runts (under 1 1/2 inches). I chose a runt for my collection that is working great. This firing was very hot and long. From 6am till 1am the next morning. It’s difficult to hit the size you want due to the variables in firing. I just must make a lot to get what is needed. I’ll have lots of slides eventually.

  • Cool factor..........off the charts!!!

  • Choosing could be difficult.

  • No Rev. Raku is low temp. Firing. I’m firing to cone 10. About 2300 degrees f. Porcelain needs high heat and becomes very hard. Racu is very soft and strings would rub a groove in the glaze quickly.

  • Is Shino similar to "Raku"?   Coolness, Dave!

  • Thanks Pick, Korrigan and Bones. I think i’ll Have lots of fun with these babies.

  • Thanks Bob. Your new bottlenecks look great. I’ll have to have one when you are ready.

  • killer Dave .
