$9 thrift store guitar that I shouldn't have paid $9 for. Vintage 60's nylon string that someone put steel string on and made the neck rip off, so with a lot of wood glue the put it back on, badly.(then they put the steel strings on again). Tried to think of a way to save it. Used weedwhacker strings to turn it into a three string bass. Sounds like an upright bass from an old jazz record. Yeah, the strings are different colors

It's beat and ugly, but it IS fun to play. Tuned to relative EAD, I actually tuned it down a step to DGC, concerned about tension, it holds tuning well. Round weedwhacker string, something like 95, 60, 65 gauges. Decent volume, great old upright tone.

Looks like a great investment to me. I am assuming tuned EAD? What are the string sizes?
