Possibly, Andy. I have to make some design tweaks though. Larger overall size - around 9.5", thicker starting panel (about 1") pocketed out in the back to accomodate the clock insert and allow it to sit flat on the wall, round outer shape, and deeper carving to expose more color.

They would be fairly expensive, I'm afraid - possibly prohibitively so. The piece of Spectraply alone would have a cost of over $20.
Do you have a cost idea? I would buy one if not too $$$.
