Hey J. Robinson. I tried my best to copy the angle on a broken factory fiddle someone gave me - it came out to about 10 degrees. I've made some with more angle which requires a higher bridge. I did this so I wouldn't have to cut away the sides of the box for bow clearance. The funny thing about free stuff is that it can lead to not free stuff. Those wooden pegs require a tapered hole to grab properly. I made a reamer from scissors before I went ahead and bought a $20 reamer. Yeah, then you'll also need a bow. Many of my fiddles use plain old guitar tuners. It will be a fun challenge.

Hey Jim is there a certain degree of angle you suggest?
i am getting itchy for a challenge i came across free wooden tuning pegs at a music store.
Cant beat that price!!
nice work Jim. Cool headstock. Gotta try building a fiddle some day!
That is a beauty, Jim.
I recycle build parts too- but with me it's some times 2 steps forward and 1 step back.
