I have since removed all the paper on the inside of the lid and I think it does make a difference on the plywood lidded box's acoustically.

Wes, it was your idea to drill the holes. You had mentioned it in a chat a couple months ago. I think it works, but if it doesn't at least it looks cool and gets questions asked. I tapered this one to the back because it was so darn thick! But it has a nice heel outside the box.

The 7 holes in the body part of the neck -- are they to decrease mass, add resonance, or what?
