Piccolo 3 string git from Shane's post. I made mine with a bolt on neck. Fretless and no electronics so far. I used one classical guitar string and two uke strings. Unsure what I should really be using.

It's your box....You can use any strings you want....I have noticed that some players are stringing their gits with a very low 3rd or 4th string and the other 2 or 3 in the normal guitar range to make a deep bass sound.
Looks good. I saw Shane's post and now this and thought that short scale might be tricky to play. But I just now capoed a GDG at the 7th fret making it a temporary open D 15 1/4 inch scale. Sounded and played pretty good. So.... I wonder if I could take GDG strings on that short scale an tune them DAD....
