  • Thanks Guys !!! I did use the F board and it is flush with the top of the ciggy box... my strings are level 1/2" above that since I play it lap steel style ... That's the way I learned back in '58, just kinda' stuck ... Although I play a standard guitar pretty well , I can't play slide in the upright position for heck ...
  • What's the general opinion of cutting away the fingerboard to clear the box vs. touching the box? I would imagine that having the top move freely would be better, but I've heard that's not exactly true.
  • Very clearly done! I second Sam's comment on having the fingerboard (or the neck, if you don't use one) flush with the top.
  • nice drawing... the only thing I'd add is to get the level of the fretboard/finger board at least level or slightly above the level of the box top. As drawn without the optional fretboard you will be buzz on the box top as you slide down the neck..... other than that... great drawing....
