Thanks for the input. I did cut it thin so I could put a piezo between the neck and the top. The neck is quilted maple and almost too hard to cut, so I thought it would be safe to go down to 5/16"s. I can reinforce it no problem. I appreciate your interest. JT
Nice work, but I think I should say, much too thin through the box - it sure might bow on you. Just glue up a strengthening board from the butt to an inch or so above where the neck gets thick.

Thanks Lonman. Good eye, it's quilted maple. I got lucky and found a 3"x1"x2.5' piece in the scrap bin in Home Depot! I gotta check there more often.
That's going to be a nice looking guitar. Is that wood flamed? Looks like it.
