This is a closeup showing the quality of the curly maple. I put on a stain that I have used for my rifles in the past called Colonial Red Maple. I really like this color and we named this "My Redneck Guitar". The sound is really great on this guitar and I credit much of it to this maple neck plus alot of luck! Thanks for looking at my first effort.

  • hey first class workmanship on that neck and what unusual graining love it cheers
  • Thanks alot guys, Your comments mean alot coming from fellow builders because you know how much work goes into one of these. I have started working of a Reso, if I can just figure out all the construction details I can finish it up pretty soon. I'll post some pics when I get it done. My biggest surprise is that everyone who see the thing in person is very interested and impressed with it, especially the amount of sound it makes and the quality of the sound.
