cat bowl guitar

This sort of works and sort of doesn't. It's a through neck, except with lots of working around the upturned bowl, which makes it feel quite substantial (heavy!) The neck is quite chunky too. The cat bowl gives it a kind of twangy metallic sound, and it has two top strings tuned the same (so although it's played as a three string, it has four.) I had thought they would be good to play it with to play it like a strummer, but I'm not sure it really works.

  • what was the scale distance on this guitar 
  • It looks great.  Stout and strong are good.  Find a tuning that works.  Nothing wrong with going down to a 3 string.  It's almost for sure a winner when you figure out how to use it..
