This has four strings, but two are tuned identically and played as one string. The guitar is tuned GDG, and the high G has sort of a "mini chorus" sound to it. I think dulcimers have this, which is where I nicked the idea from. Not sure it works, but it sounds quite good to my ear.

Kevin, people on this site tend to be pretty kind and generous - especially if you note it is your first vid. Practice up. Keep it simple. Put some light on the subject.
Thank you. I cut down three pieces of aluminium and messed up two until I discovered a bending machine in the engineering department at work! You're right about the sound, of course. I keep trying to build up the confidence to post a video, which I hope to do with this one soon. It would be interesting to hear what other ears think (not sure that last sentence makes much sense...)
