My first build. 3 string. Red Oak neck and fretboard. CB Gitty tuners,piezo trans. and frets. 25 1/2 " scale. Brass tailpiece and nut holder. Lots of fun to build and to play.

  • Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I wanted the wider string spacing to see if maybe it would help with my sloppy slide playing. I looked at pictures of others and thought what the hey. It hasn't been any problem fretting and it actually plays pretty nice with low action. I will make alot of changes with my next one but I have had alot of fun with this thing. I can't put it down.

  • I like that a lot.   Nice string height.  

     

    Looks like maybe the string spacing is too wide, too close to the edges - that would be true only if the strings kind of come off the side when fretted.  If not, you are golden.

     

    Great box and build.  I could see myself playing that pretty red rider.   Nice photo too.
