  • Thank you. Hmmn. I wonder what size my Dewalt whacker has.
  • Strings are "slap happy weed wackers" The D and G sound good; the A is not bad: the E is a little dull.

I made two instruments with a sitar bridge and I think they both turned out well. The buzzing effect is more pronounced on the higher strings. I'll try to do a video sample. I looked up the Begena and the bridge is similar to a sitar; more like a tamboura though.

  • J, what are those strings?

  • Oh! Good eye deer.
  •  Hey JD...love the bass. However, I was checking your old builds out and saw the bass with the sitar bridge. I’m really wondering what the effect on the sound is. I would bet it’s really cool. I have an interest in the Ethiopian Begena (harp of David.) It’s sound is “out of this world.” Lots of cool videos out there. Any impressions or information concerning your bridge would be appreciated. Thanks and happy motoring,   p.s. love the use of a hammock frame for your new bass’s neck. Terry
