Strung up and playing. Kept it simple and sound hole free, but I might put a sound port on the front side edge eventually. I have it strung up with the low strings EAD at the moment and like it more than I thought I would. I'm glad because I need a guitar in the low register.

Yup Jim, there's a certain satisfaction when you hit that low E! The book is Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy. I found a couple of these boxes at the consignment shop for cheap. This one is about 3" deep, so it should hold down the low end nicely.
