  After messing around with it I've decided to restring it for E A E. G D G sounds too tinny with that super high g on the doubled up strings. I think I bought two sets of strings so it shouldn't be too big a deal to do.

  Thanks, until I get that little 8 awg string in tune without snapping I'm not sure how it's going to sound. The only thing I can think to do is stretch it in a full step at a time each day.

  I like the oversized headstock and the three double courses of strings. Bet it has a big sound.

  Intonation is still way off, but I'm tired and want to relax. I'll put a smaller bridge in and file down the nut slots tomorrow. Right now it's a full half step sharp on the third fret it's so high.
