A last look at the Barncaster. I didn't sand too much of the character off the pine plank. It's got a few dings and divits, but 6 coats of wipe on Poly varnish make her look pretty sharp. I've only got 2 coats on the pickguard so far. None on the jack plate. I'll add a coat tonight before retiring.

Thanks Uncle, I may have my action too good. I need to lower my neck bridge as it pulls on the strings and is making its intonation a little off. Sure sounds good otherwise. I have to remove some wood under the pickup to do the job. The Paduke sure does make a nice pick guard.

Nice job!!
Nice! Did you laminate two planks or is it one 2x12? Looks like quality craftsmanship.
I have a few rough cut planks up in my wood storage area....hmmmmm.

That tweaking to make things right (or closer to right) is really important - and for me, easy to procrastinate. Git er done.
Yummmmmmm !!!

Dings & divots are okay. Pick-guard is super. Looks like the action is good. I am not a 6 string guy, but I sure like this one.
