Nice git, Uncle John. I use no. 8 pan head screws (stainless or black) to close up all of my cbg's. I also use those same pickups for most of my electric builds. I use 4 pole (like yours) or a 6 pole mounted on an angle. I have come to embrace the concept of "string adjacent" in relation to the poles of the pickups. Pretty close works, and when I try to get 3 poles directly under 3 strings I often find my layout 2-3 mm off of bitchin'.
Can hardly notice the screws, I personally screw all my box lids down, do you have any issues with the Tone & Volume knobs being so close to the bridge, I find when their that close, I tend to knock them, particularly when palm muting.

The contols work okay. Yup. Got em closer than I would have liked.
