  • Another idea. Can see that you will need to smooth out the holes, for the strings. Why not just file a slot in the hole?

  • Beads sounds good, but thread the strings, down thru the top side. You could also sand down the beads, to be flat with the top of the hole, so that the string balls don't stick up too far. Another idea, use rivet up thru the bottom, but it might take a little bigger river grommet than normal to do it.

  • Sure will.

  • whammy? interesting.

  • beads? could drill holes in ball bearings. threaded wood dowels. ? spot welds?

  • Perfect Daniel!

  • You could use a finishing washer like CB gitty does in their can Joe kits To prevent the ball end from going through the hole in the end of the can. The washer would have to be large enough to cover the hole in the hinge and still have a small enough hole so that this string does not go Through it.

A dowel, or a small piece of wood, could be like the tail piece of A CBG.

I wonder if anyone is reproducing these karma they are awesome whether you use it for a one string Diddley bow karma to string Diddley bow, or a 2 or a 3 string cigar Box guitar.
  • Yep what Pick said whammy it for sure .
