You are right Wes. This one was not too bad as the metal is hefty enough ( I still have a resonance at G on my Bass with this amp which I have to track down.) I made another from a tin box which was a real problem. I ended up bracing the inside and mounting everything on rubber pads.
This one is mains powered but with a separate transformer: 220 to 110 step down. I double checked all the earthing and insulation to make sure its safe. The grille resonated badly when I tested it this morning so I have put plastic spacers (cut down a set of wall plugs from a curtain rail that I never used) in place and its now sounding good. Hope to get a video up soon,
It's a 10 watt bass amplifier. Cheap Chinese thing I picked up online the brand is "Tony Smith" useless as a bass amp but actually sounds good for guitar. The knobs are original and are bullet shaped by coincidence!
