I got a nice grill at Menards for my reso. Taped it to my Walnut and used it as a template. Worked perfect!

    Thanks Chris, i'm going to use the idea to make a cover plate for a reso. I got some aluminum lids on ebay that should work good. Can't wait to try it. Just have to wait for the shipment...

    Thanks Muddy, I can't remember seeing this done elsewhere, but it's a great way to custom make your own and keep the metal one for a template. I'll be doing this some more.

    Nothing new, i'm sure Keith, but new to me. I was amazed how clean the final grills came out. The original metal drain cover got a workout. Cheap aluminum, but it held up for two grills.
