AGP #506 – “Wild Turkey”3 String Fretless Bourbon Tin Guitar584.2mm /23 inchesStrings : .044NW/.030NW/.020NW/Tuned: G D gThe 300x200x90mm “Wild Turkey Poker Set Tin” was a recent $5 Charity Shop Find, still had the Poker Chips, Felt Playing Surface and the Instruction Manual inside, but unfortunately no Bourbon :-{The Neck is Camphor Laurel, painted with 3 coats of Acrylic clear Gloss, an 8.4k Alnico Single Coil Pickup is wired through Vol & Tone Pots to the Output Jack.Sounded a bit shitty when first strung up, but the addition of some Sound Holes soon rectified that! :-)

  • "Thanks A.D"., Camphor Laurel Timber is described as a Moderate Hardwood, but it is quite soft and easy to work with, also smells very nice, and yes the Alnico Single Coil does sound nice. :-)

Camphor Laurel is it hard? maybee more surfase for the bridge? wood & wider base? metal on metal for the bridge to minimal? the single Coil must performe nicely does she Not? big copper nut Nice!, your headstock looks new aswell ! Nice Alan !!! you know i love Tin's !
