AGP #501 – “Led-Zep”3 String Fretless Relic Guitar673.1mm / 26½ inchesStrings : .028NW/.018NW/.014PS/Tunings: B F# bGot the rough idea for this build after seeing a post sometime back, which I liked the look of, I think it was a Jason Mills Driftwood Build ??, but as I don’t have access to such material, I went for the stuff I do have access to ie; Recycled Pallet & Fence Pales etc.The Aluminium 200x300mm Led Zeppelin Sign was an Ebay purchase, the Body Bottom is recycled Pine Pallet, the round Pillars are offcuts from a Longan Fruit Tree, the Neck is recycled Solid Pine Decking Timber and the Fretboard was cut from a Fence Paling, all coated with a 50/50 Mix of Linseed Oil & Turpentine, a 12.3k Dual Rail Humbucker is wired through Vol & Tone Pots to the Output Jack. The hardest thing about doing this build was choosing which one of my favourite 20+ Led Zeppelin Songs to Pyro onto the Fretboard, ended up going with “In My Time Of Dying”, with “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” running a close second. :-)

"Thanks UJ", Yep!, that Headstock is starting to become one of my Fave's, the Winter down here has been reasonably mild (so far!) compared to last year, a bit cool by our standards, with the Night & Morning Temp around the 10C/50F mark, but followed by some nice days around the 20C/68F plus mark. :-)
"Thanks A.D.", Yes there's nearly always some sort of free recycled material in all my builds, have been a big Led Zeppelin Fan ever since they first burst onto the scene, still have their first 6 or so Vinyl Lp's I bought back in the day, and nearly got to see them live in Sydney Aus back in the early 70's, but it was sold out, and could just hear them from outside in the Car Park o the Stadium. :-)
Verry interesting this Open two stage Build AGP# see that recycling is still waving the Banner High ! did not know you where that a big Led Zep fan ! we learn some whit every build ! keep up your building !
