  • "Thanks A.D.", purchased the strainer for Tailpiece's, but it seemed a shame not use the bottom base as well, whether or not it has any Reso qualities is up to each individuals own thoughts, but it's nice and shiny, and looks good!  :-)

  • lovely Build AGP# your sound hole is exelent ! love it ,and the  "lettuce"strainer surely looks the part, the hole thing about the rust free basket is one off the most ideal recycle and versutile tools for CBG & DIY git building!  ill loove to play that One !  amp up and Go !

  • Thanks!

  • "Thanks UJ', I call a Baritone Build anywhere between 27" and 29" Scale, this one's 29", and currently on the Bench is a 27" Build, I usually buy all my Strings as 12 pack bulk single strings from Gitty, but recently run into a problem with the Covid situation, and didn't receive my last order, Gitty, much to their credit, promptly refunded my money, apart rom Gitty Strings being the cheapest way for me to buy the Strings I use, they have a length of abt 40inches, which suits a lot of the longer scale builds nicely, the strings on this one are a mixture of D'Adarrio, Ernie Ball and Gitty Strings, quite a bit more expensive than the Ebay Cheapies, but the reason They're cheap is they're very short!.

The Kangaroo was an after thought, I was going through my tin of Sound Hole Templates looking for an F Hole, but they were all too big, and noticed the Roo, and thought that would sit nicely just above the Reso. :-)

PS: I used what's called a Luthiers Knot for the first time on this build, after seeing the Utube Vid linked here. How To Tie a Luthiers Knot

  • "Thanx Pick" :-)

  • L O N G scale.  29 inches.  Are standard strings that long?  I love long scale for sliding.  I hope you did not strain yourself on this one.   Highest 9s.   It would have been high 9s, but that kangaroo took it to 9.9999999999999999999999999999999.
