AGP #398 - “The Ex-Champ”3 String Fretless Baritone GuitarThe Box Body is 20mm thick Recycled Pine Pallett Wood, the Neck is Recycled Spotted Gum, both given a tickle with the Gas Torch, and a coat of British Paints Acrylic Clear Gloss. As is obvious by the Pic’s it was originally fitted with a 3.8k 4 String Bass Pickup housed in a very nice vintage “Champion Spark Plug Tin”, However!, upon plugging it in to my Amps, it squawked, squealed and screamed so much, I had to let it out on Parole, and replace it with an 8.2k P90 Dogs Ear Type Pickup, which is hardwired to the Output Jack. :-)

"Thanks BQ", I did toy with the idea of packing the tin with insulation, but opted to go with the P90, I have used open Tin Lids before with no problems, and will definitely experiment a bit more with the 2 Vintage Champion Spark Plug Tins I have. :-)
"Thanks UJ', was originally named "The Champ" because of the Spark Plug Tin, and it did already have a nice Rustic Weathered look to it, before I lit the Gas Torch, my original intentions were to only give the sawn edges a singe, but as so often happens, once I start, I find to hard to stop my Arson Ways :-D

Nice! Try some foam or hot glue inside the tin to stop it from vibrating into feedback?
Ex-cellent build AGP! It looks tough and I like what you've done mounting that P90 in that enlarged sound hole.
