AGP #395 - ''Scruffycita''

AGP #395 - “Scruffycita”6 String Fretted Nylon String Slide GuitarScale : 654mm / 25¾ inchesTunning: E A D G B EStrings: .043SW/.035SW/.030SW/.040CN/.032CN/.028CN/The Acoustic Guitar was a Gift from a friendly neighbour, which was in a dirty and very distressed condition, replaced the back with Cedar Venetian Blind Slats, gave the Soundboard a light sanding, and coated both top and bottom with a brush on French Polish Lacquer.Obviously this one was inspired by Dave Lynas’s lovely 6 String Nylon String Slider “Carmencita”, I’m very happy with this $15 Wreck Resurrection, sounds very sweet and is quite loud acoustically, currently tuned to Open G (D-G-D-G-B-D), But!, I will have to brush up on my 6 String Playing Skills. :-)

  • Yep! 'UJ' I think the name was appropriate, in light of where the inspiration for this build came from, :-)

  • "Thanks Jock", Yep!, I think open G or open D is the only way to go!, and the Tinny Holder is still out by my chair in front of the TV, where it had quite a bit of use during the 3 games of Rugby League I watched yesterday  :-D

  • "Thanks Bob", I'm happy with the end result on this "Wreck Resurrection", still has few signs of wear and tear, but it is what it is! :-)

  • Your one of my favorite builders AGP now favorite repairman.

  • Love the name too.
  • You've done a great refurb there AGP. Stick with the open G - life is too short for the fancy stuff!

    BTW where's the tinny holder?

  • Looks great AGP. A successful resurrection. Creative use of the Venetian slats.
