New Modifications, didn't "Paint it Black" but used the darkest stain I had on hand "Japan Brown", definitely sounds better with the (rather large)Sound Hole, and I'm a bit happier with the new Aluminium Scratch Plate and Timber Colour :-)Have posted a Utube link just in case anyone is interested in how a "Danelectro Baby Sitar" should sound, when in the hands of someone with far more talent than I :-Dhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52QnVjCzITo&pbjreload=10Read more…
"Thanks Maddog & Korrigan, and yes it could be described as an M-hole, a Moustache or a C-hole, I know I'm sometimes referred to as an A-hole (usually by the Missus) :-D
"Thanks Andries" for the info on the "Electro-Harmonix Ravish Sitar Pedal", just been checking it out, sounds great, but the price tag of around $500AU is a little scary :-[
#310 certainly has a "Sitar-ish" ring to it, but still have to do a bit of experimenting with different strings (including your recommended tunings) and also finding a suitable tune that I can play which sounds alright on the "Shitar", have one in mind, and will definitely post a sound demo when I get it all worked out :-D
Hi AGP To bad you don't have the sound of "Your"Shitar ,i know about the Danelectro, there is all so a Stompbox by Electro Harmonics that can give you the Citar sound whit any Sting instrument, but thats not what i meen, the sound of the chicory and in your case a Marble one is the sorse of interest what sound it produces whit a tree string? the build looks the real deal and your adaptation do the deal sound hole and Alu plate ,color to whay better ! nice, pitty you are not that keen on sound But a builder is a builder, that more your thing, and a Master at it, by my recollection. Be reading you ! greeettsszz A.D.

I like the big M hole. Some people would call it a C hole but it looks like a mustache to me. :D
