AGP #308 – “Bazooka”(8 String Double Course Irish Bouzouki)Scale : 648mm / 25½inchesStrings X 2: .040NW / .028NW / .016PS / .011PS /Tuning: G / D / A / d /The Kettle Gourd was the smallest of 2 that has been sitting in my shed for the last couple of years, was very thin walled with a largish hole in it from being blown off the shed roof while drying out, so inside has been reinforced with fibreglass, the Headstock Wings are Spruce Pine, the Soundboard is 3mm Pine Ply and the Neck, Bridge & Nut are Spotted Gum, a 9.5k P54 H Style Humbucker is hardwired to the Jack,Had to build one after watching young Casey Baron’s recent vid on his lovely Irish Bouzouki Strung Build, I just wish I could play as well as he does.

"Thanks UJ", always looking for something different to build, its my version of an Irish Bouzouki, but it looks like I neglected to post my usual Spiel on the Specs and Materials used etc., will attend to that now :-D

"Thanks Pick", Yup!, was a bit of a challenging work with this thin skinned Gourd but was OK once interior was fibre glassed :-)
What Scott said! You've been moving up to some quite ambitious projects. Would this be an octave mandolin or bazouki?
