AGP # 221 - “OMG” 3(1 String Gourd Bass)Scale : 762mm / 30 inchesString : 2.7mm /.105 inch-Whipper Snipper ChordTuning: C (or whatever)This is one of 3 large Kettle Gourds I grew last year, this one was very thin and broken in parts, which was reinforced from the inside with Fibreglass , mainly to the right hand side. The neck is recycled piano timber, the Soundboard is 3mm Pine Ply, the nut and bridge are recycled Ebony piano keys, and a Piezo disc embedded in a bottle cap with hot glue, is hardwired to the Jack. The inspiration for this build came from a recently posted video, "Escape From the Lumberyard" Primitive Homemade GUITAR 1 string fretless plank Guitar / Bass Guitar by Mark Stowe

"Thanks" Gary W, there's still quite a bit of Poplar (I think?) timber left for Necks, and some Spruce Pine (I think?) for Soundboards and Box sides etc.

LOL Maddog! Awesome build here, AGP! So, exactly how many board-feet of usable lumber can you mine from one piano?!?!
Very cool!
