  • Not from me, Alan. I am going to get around to giving mine a try.

  • Thanks! Uncle John, only after Jim's comment on the treble did I sit down and have a good listen to the pickup, and he is right, I did notice a "bit" more treble than usual, but!, I'm sure Jims musical ear is much more attuned than mine, this was the 1st one of 4 of these Pup's purchased, was thinking about using one in the bridge position, but! I think it would compound the treble issue, any thoughts from yourself or Jim Morris, on this ???? :-)

  • Thanks!   the anonymous pick, Yes!, your right, back to the basic cigar box build should be what it's all about, however in the land down under, purchasing the right size! cigar box, for the right price!, can be somewhat of a problem, have previously bought some from the US, but of course the postage is the major! part of the cost.

  • Thanks!  Jim Morris, yes! your right about a bit more treble, and will take on board your comment about "Tweaking the EQ".

  • Yeah, I read pick's comment. I like the direction of your drift pick!

  • Yeah.  Handsome CBG.   I have one of those pickups or one similar, but have not used it.  Jim says they have a lot of treble.  How's it sound to you?

  • nice  .  sometimes   back  to  basics  is  good  , and  shows  how  much   we   drifted  from  it  .   it  can  get away  from  ya  easily  .  ;-)

  • Looks great! I've found this pickup to have a more treble sound than many others but a little EQ tweaking makes for a nice tone. Good job on this.
