“Freewood” - (3 String CBG)Scale : 628.65mm / 24¾ inchesStrings : .042NW / .030NW / .020NW /Tuning : GDGAs the name suggests, all the timber in this build is recycled & was free, the body is from the recently scored Camphor Laurel Pizza Trays, the neck is Spotted Gum, the Fret Board is recycled Piano Poplar? with a veneer of what I think is Maple?, and the Nut and Bridge are Ebony Piano Keys, all Timber was treated with a 50/50 mixture of Pure Gum Turpentine and Linseed Oil, the Tailpiece is a bit of scrap Galvanized Iron, and the Pickup is obviously a P90 type Dogs Ear, hard wired to the Jack, all up cost $20.05-Aus.

Thanks Jim, Camphor Laurel wood has a very fragrant smell of its own, but! I think there may be a hint of an aroma of Pizza ingredients coming through.
Nicely done! Love the grain in those pizza trays. Maybe a trace of garlic and pepperoni left in there? It's cool that you used the entire ebony key for the bridge.

Thanks Tom & Thorsten, yes the body was based on that of a "Vox", but scaled down to suit the size of the timber used.
