AGP #101 - ''Pyro-Pine''

AGP #101 – “Pyro-Pine”3 String Fretless (Pick Style) GuitarStrings: .036NW .026NW .017NWTuning: G D gDisclaimer: I’m Posting this in the hope that I don’t upset or offend any of the Cigar Nation Members, and if so please tell me, and I will remove it.This is the modification of a build I originally done back in May 2014, when I was overawed by one of our dear departed “The Anonymous Pick” Builds, which I posted a ‘Like’ for at the time, and mentioned the fact that I might have to do a similar build, he quickly informed me that his ‘Swamp~witch’ design and name was protected, but soon after I did do a similar build, and informed the ‘Pick’, that I would never post any pics of it, out of respect for his name and product, and he informed me he was fine with that, (plus the fact he might sue me ;-D), but as any one who has followed the #480 different builds I have done over the last 9 to 10 years, will know that I’m not in the business of building CBG’s for profit, and have never sold a single one!So in posting these cropped Pics of “My Own Personal Tribute” to Pierre Pepi Muloin aka ‘The Anonymous Pick’, and in order to pay the same respect to Ben & The Gitty Crew, I won’t post the full pics, but I’m sure you can use your own imagination to fill in the empty spaces. The modifications were made to make it a little more truer to Picks ideas, which included lowering the depth of the Body, changing the Fretboard, Scale Length and String Gauges, I was a bit sceptical about the String Gauges at first, as the have very low String Tension, but as you can easily guess, they sound just fine, and while in my mind, it looks like a ‘Pick Build’, sounds like a ‘Pick Build’, BUT! it definitely lacks the ‘Pick Mojo’, “God Bless Him and may he Rest In Peace”

  • "Thanks Jerry & UJ", the Pick didn't mind giving some of his great builds a tickle up with the gas torch, along with using Coffee as a stain, I used both these ideas on my build, which was based around this fine build of Picks back in 2014. :-) :-)
