I wanted to try mounting this recycled acoustic neck to a build. I made the box,and cut out the Vee slot... so no cigar boxes were harmed(or in case it didn't work)..a few adjustments ,and it may work out ok.

As much as it pains me (wink), I have to agree with Pick. Getting the box and neck lined up square is not one of my strong points. But I usually make em work.
Its seems someone forgot to square up the box. The neck fit perfectly, so I have to adjust the saddle so the strings would line up right. It may just end up as studio art, it was about seeing if I could mount a recycled neck to a box, and that was a success....
