Yes it has a piezo wired straight to the jack (there's a cord plugged in in the picture). Under the plate there is 1/4" gap between the plate and the through the box neck. Under the bridge there's a 1/4" thick piece of wood between the neck and the plate so the bridge tension won't bow the plate. The 1/4" wood piece is wider than the neck for the piezo glued to that wood, NOT between the wood and the plate, but under the wood beside the neck. The string tension keeps the plate tight to this little wood support (which is screwed to the neck). If the piezo was just on the plate it would be way to hot. Sounds real good plugged in, I'll have to try to record something with it. Originally it was going to have a humbucker with volume and tone, but design won out over electronics.
Yes, yes, yes!. The box, the plate, the saddle placement, not cutting the plate for pup. The inlays. Excellent. I see that bourbon up here but have been too cheap to try it. Do you have a piezo? This baby ought to plug in.

Really nice man!
Good and sorry. I see the cord now. Glad it plugs in and sounds so good.
