  • Do you mean three piezos in chain and magnetic pickup?
  • JuJu... Not to sound like a slobbering lapdog, build your mk1 version was of a quality i aspire to reach one day. How could you possibly improve it?
  • That is one sweet sexy machine JUJU,
  • Thanks Andy
yep i like to put the Knobs here as you say there out of the way but keeps all the controls together and keeps the wiring a lot neater than wires running all over the place

    cheers mate :)
  • Real nice JUJU! I like where you put the knobs, they do tend to get in the way on a CBG in the typical position.
  • thank you Carverman most kind of you - good luck with your builds :)
  • Beautiful workmanship. I'm doing my first CBG, using an authentic CB. It's a prototype
and I have the neck blanks ready for the second one in which I plan on using a p-90 soapbar
and making the CB out of actual spanish cedar (fantastic wood) and making it larger similar
to yours. Now about yer pickup...did you wind it by hand or a makeshift power winder?
Thats a lot of turns..around 4500 fo 8k ohm humbucker or SC.
  • yep the hinges used to be gold but i polished it off so the steel underneath was visable as i wanted the chrome look to match the knobs ect ect - i love these boxes but there so hard to find with the real wood top all the later ones are plywood tops still the same shape but not as nice
    Cheers mate much appriciated

    juju :)
