  • Nice! I've tried to make f-holes once, and it worked more or less, but I decided to practice on scrapwood before next time - and next time has not arrived yet, but will one day..I really like your build.

  • LOL, Darryl.   They look perfect from where I sit.  I've had em so far off that I covered one with a pick guard.  I've had em a little off, I've settled for just one!

  • Ps  u John,appreciate the 'f' hole comment,but man i struggle with them,as a close up will tell

  • I agree on the sheoak.  New to me.  I like GDGB.   Would be hard to pick a tuning for me as I like DGBE too.

  • thanks U John, immensely appreciated,GDGB,the sheoak is a very pretty hard wood, huge variation in colour grain pattern, depending on the saw cut orientation, saddle and fretboard out of same piece of wood, pick up is very good, but it makes me appreciate just how good Elmar and Dan's are,575mm scale here, about 23 in,seems to suit strings out of a set of .010's

  • Oh, baby.  I've sat here and ogled this one for about 30 seconds.   Really a special guitar.  F holes, woods, trim neck, cool tail piece, Great looking pickup and housing..    The only thing that does not look just right is the angle of the saddle.   And maybe my eyes are adjusting to that.

    DGBE or DGBD?   GDGB?

I read your comment below.  The adjustments and good fixes pay off.

  • thanks all

  • Great looking gitty, Darryl!  Nice sound holes and tailpiece!

Jarrah and sheok look like great woods.
