3-String Cigar Box Guitar/Bass

John Nickel inspired CBG: disc piezo and 1-pole pickup with separate jacks. 20.1” scale length GDG. Alder neck, Lowe’s yardstick fretboard, Modge Podged fabric on body and headstock, 3D printed holders for T-pin frets. Single pole pickup goes to octave pedal and then to bass amp. It has that fat “John Nickel” sound! I put this build off way too long!!!

    Thanks Uncle John! Picked up the fabric in a quilt shop (my wife quilts!) while visiting our son and daughter-in-law (usually pictured in my Zoom videos) in Idaho. I loved the wild and crazy blue pattern and had to have it.

    I like it.  The pretty headstock takes it from kind of plain Jane to WOW Jane.
