  Thanks Tom. Nope, not a scarf joint. I do my headstocks by sawing a section from the top and gluing it to the bottom to give enough depth to mount the tuners and sufficient break angle from the but. Its quite a tricky process with hand tools but it's a lot easier since I bought myself a Japanese ryoba saw :-)

  Richey, that's some beautiful work! Really like the look of the transition to the headstock. Is that a scarf joint?
