I have about 8 of these Padron boxes on my shelf. The maple neck and bridge are stained mahogany, shaped on my router table. The natural maple fingerboard has stick-on fret markers and is finished with tung oil. First time using a rod piezo (cut-down a bit) under the saddle with pre-wired E-bay tone/volume conrtol. Mixed feelings about it. The sound holes are computer desk cable grommets. Built in roughly 4 hours.

That's actually a plastic saddle I picked up at my local woodworker's store that I saw last time I was in there. (Constantine's in Ft. Lauderdale - www.constantines.com ) They have a few guitar making supplies, but are my main source for exotic woods. I've usually gotton bone saddles and nuts off e-bay.
I routed a slot all the way through the bridge to set the saddle directly on top of the rod piezo.
I picked up some free Corian samples from the kitchen department at Home Depot that I'm going to try working with, but I don't know how I can slice it thin enough (1/8 - 3/16") acurately without a bandsaw.
Thanks UJ, I really appreciate the input. I cut 6 necks at the same time, so I figure I'd do a little "production" run with the other Padrons I've got.
