Latest CBG commemorating a 31st Anniversary. Used a couple of aluminum vents to cover the sound holes. Adds a "tinny" sound to the guitar. Sounds awesome with the amp I built for it based on a Minty Amp.

Well I cant wait to see that CBG. They were in packs of 6 when I found them at Ace for about $10, seemed expensice for what they were to me. But Ace runs high anyway. I found them in PVC at Home Depot. I hadnt been to Lowes yet to look, thanks for the heads up!
I was wondering how much sound difference there would be depending on how the vents were positioned, but I didn't make the vents moveable so I won't know until make another one. My next one will incorporate these vents in a WW II style "nose art" themed guitar. Thanks for the feedback.
P.S. The vents are probably cheaper if you buy them at Lowes where I bought these as a pack of 6.
Come to think of it you could sorta use the vents as a volume control, just follow me here a minute.... Both facing down away from your ear is LOW volume. Bottom facing up and top facing down is LOW/Medium volume. Bottom facing down, top facing up is Medium/ high volume. And both facing up towards your ear has it crank all the way up! Who needs piezos, pups, tone / volum pots? Not you man....you ROCK!
